family members and friends of our returning Veterans.  As the wife of an OIF Veteran who
is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it "spoke" to me in a way that few other
video, books, or other resources on the topic have.  It's long (27 minutes), but so worth the
time.  A special thanks to Kathie Costos, a Vietnam Veteran Wife, who is also known as the

The following link is to a video about PTSD that was produced by Mental Health Matters in
Almeda County , California.  It is an interview with two Veterans (one who served in
Vietnam, one who served in Iraq) about their struggles with PTSD.  It does a good job of
showing people how PTSD "looks".  One word of caution, however, the video does
contain some political/anti-war statements in the first part (the interview with the Vietnam
Veteran).  If you would like to skip this part, simply fast forward the video to the -12:25
