PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, can't be "cured" with medication. However,
there are several medications available which can be used to treat many of the most
common symptoms of PTSD. If you (or your Veteran) will be taking any medication to help
with PTSD, please be aware that finding the right prescription and the right dosage level
may take some time. But, the improved quality of life gained makes the effort worthwhile!

Psychologist at the Boston VA Clinic). This is probably the best body of information we've
found specifically related to Combat PTSD medications. His experience treating Vets
allows him to speak from experience - giving specific ideas, recommendations, and things
to consider. VERY good info!
Medications for PTSD & Other Anxiety Disorders - Has several good references to how
different drugs work. When looking through the list, look for "PTSD" under the "Target
Anxiety Disorder" column.
