Ok - first I want to be clear that The Veterans Benefits Network is not a VA site or
program... it isn't "under" the VA in any way.
But, if you want a great way to learn more about the Veterans Administration, especially
your benefits (or the benefits your Veteran earned), The Veterans Benefit Network (VBN) is
a great place to start.
VBN is a free, online forum. It is run by an all-volunteer staff of Veterans and is a strong
community of Veterans and their loved ones, all devoted to helping each other get the
benefits they've earned.
This forum has been an unbelievably helpful, positive resource for our family and many
others that we know. I guess it's obvious how much respect and confidence we have in the
forum... since it earned its very own page on our site.
So, if you'd like to connect with others in the Veteran community and get first-hand advice
on how to navigate the VA, go to Vets.Yuku.Com. Make sure you tell the site owner,
RWSVol, that his friends from Family Of a Vet sent you!! And, if you see posts from
OIFVetWife, be sure to say howdy... she's the founder of FOV.
Just to show you what great people run VBN, here's what Vol had to say when I asked him if
there was anything specific he'd like for us to include on this page, "The only thing I like
Vets to know about this site is we don't want to know their personal info (names, addresses
etc), we don't want their money, we are just a bunch of volunteers that try to make their
claims process easier than it was for those of us who went through before they did."
